The Australian Museum is delighted to launch exciting new science education experiences in 2025, as well as our regular expert learning programs for teachers and students. Read on to explore the highlights and discover how your students can get hands on with science at the Museum.

Adaptations: Australia’s ancient animals

When: Term 1 - Term 4

Learning stages: Stage 2 - 3

Using real fossil evidence from the Museum's palaeontology collection, students will uncover how extinct Australian animals adapted to survive in their ancient environments.

Earth's resources

When: Term 1 - Term 2

Learning stages: Stage 6

Dive into the world of rocks and minerals in this new hands-on program. Students will learn about rock classification, First Nations peoples use of geological resources and the significance of renewable and non-renewable resources.
